The 2022 Arden Park Youth Triathlon will feature the return of the Swim/Bike/Run format after a Swim/Run change in 2021. For new participants, this means swimming in the Arden Park pool, then riding a bike along La Sierra Drive, and then running around the park before finishing near the clubhouse.
Please review the Race Distances page as well as the Race Courses page to familiarize yourself and your triathlete and help with training and preparation.
The 2022 edition of the event will feature chip timing provided by SVE Timing (one of the largest event timers in the US, with hundreds of thousands of athletes relying on them for their times every year).
Features of chip timing include:
- Latest technology chip timing via a velcro strap attached around each athlete’s ankle for highly accurate results
- Professional, experienced staff to set up equipment and run the systems on race day
Five timing points: swim into transition (split 1), Bike in and out (split 2 and 3), Run out (split 4) and finish. - Race results posted online after the race and live during the event
There will be no Packet Pick-up in 2022. Participants will collect their bibs, timing chip, t-shirt, etc. on race morning during athlete check-in from 6:45 – 8:15 a.m.
It is IMPERATIVE that participants and parents make sure the ankle strap and chip is returned to the timing company after completing the race. These are expensive devices and we are responsible for replacing missing chips.
